She was the 94th child born and registered in the District of Brisbane, Colony of Queensland in 1860. Queensland had only become a separate colony in the December of 1859.
Elizabeth Emily is the first born daughter to William Alfred Robinson and Ellen Baker. William and Ellen Robinson were a pioneering family of the Tingalpa, Bulimba and Coorparoo district from 1858 to William's death in 1917.
She is Neil's Great Grandmother and was born in the district of Tingalpa, Brisbane on 29 January 1860. She died on 28th September 1902 in the Brisbane Hospital, 11 days after giving birth to Sidney Stanley Lettman (Neil's grandfather). Elizabeth Emily Robinson married William Henry Lettman (commonly known as Henry) in Brisbane on January 27, 1877. Elizabeth Emily had seven children from her marriage to William Henry Lettman and two sons to father unknown. William Henry Lettman died in December of 1892.
Elizabeth Emily was a laundress at the time of her death and lived in William Street, Boggo Road, Brisbane. The Brisbane Hospital report in the Telegraph on October 14, 1902 states that she was admitted on September 26 and died September 28. She was buried in the same grave (7C 182) as Wiliam Henry Lettman on September 29, 1902 at the South Brisbane Cemetry, 181 Annerley Rd, Dutton Park. The South Brisbane Cemetry is only a few hundred metres from where she lived in William Street.
William Sreet has been renamed over time to Ross Street. The historical records indicate that she gave birth to Sidney Stanley in the residence at William Street and died of complications from the home birth. In 1898 Frank Lettman was born and then in 1902 Sidney Stanley was born. Both of these births were registered with the father as unknown. Research shows that William Henry her oldest son was living in William Street, Boggo Road in 1898 when he registered to vote at the age of 21. It could be that he was living with his mother in William Street when Frank Lettman was born in 1898. William Street in the news paper advertisments of that era was a well known area for boarding houses or as what is now known as units or rental housing of that era.

The record of marriage for her and William Henry Lettman have Elizabeth living at Norman's Creek, Old Cleveland Road. In present day this would be Stones Corner. It would be presumed that she was living with her parents on the Robinson family farm. William Henry Lettman is recorded as living at Birmingham, Old Cleveland Road and occupation farmer. There is a separate reference on the marriage record indicating "Birmingham" was at the rear of or near Norman's Creek, Old Cleveland Road. One could infer that William Henry was working on or near the Robinson farm and this is how they met.

Elizabeth Emily died on 28th September 1902 in the Brisbane Hospital, 11 days after giving birth to Sidney Stanley Lettman. The historical records indicate that she gave birth to Sidney Stanley in her residence at William Street (Boggo Road) and died of complications from the home birth. She had already had 7 children from her marriage to Wiliam Henry Lettman. William Henry Lettman died in December of 1892. In 1898 Frank Lettman was born and then in 1902 Sidney Stanley was born. Both of these births were registered with the father as unknown. The registration of her death records the cause as double pneumonia and heart failure. The following were recorded as her children.William Henry 24 years, George Edward 20 years, Florence 17 years, Kate 16 years, Alice 13 years, Elizabeth Emily 8 years, Frank 4 years and Sidney Stanley 11 days. The Robinson family continued to be connected to Coorparoo with family descendants living in the district and Robinson's Wood Depot operational until well into the mid twentieth century. The Robinson legacy in Coorparoo exists today with Robinson Street named after the Robinson family and situated next to the piece of land that was commonly known as "Robinson's Paddock". Today "Robinson's Paddock" where the first Coorparoo races were held in 1892 is a recreational park and Netball playing fields. Robinson street is one among many of the streets in housing estate established post World War One owing to the need for housing for soldiers returning from the war. The land that William Alfred Robinson owned as a dairy was no longer required. Brisbane was expanding and the land east of the city was prime development owing to public transport being available.

Boggo Road is now called Annerley Road and the district of Boggo has been renamed as Dutton Park. This has been done to remove the inference to the Boggo Road Goal that still stands prominently on the hill overlooking the district.
